
More than 50 years after its foundation, the Bonazzi Group in Italy, is one of the most important players in the international chemical-textile business. The Group is structured in two different divisions with 14 manufacturing units in different European countries, in the United States and in Asia.

The Synthetic Fibres and Polymers Division includes the following business units:
BCF Aquafil is a leading company in the sector of special Nylon-6 carpet yarns. Its products are designed to meet the needs of the carpet market in the residential, contract and automotive segment. Active in the carpet segment are Aquafil in Italy, Julon in Slovenija supported by some reprocessing production units, Aquafil in the USA, Aquafil Asia Pacific in Thailand, Aquaspace and Tessilquattro both in Italy.
TEXTILE Aquafil supply Nylon-6 yarns for traditional weaving, circular knitting and flat knitted fabrics, for men/ladies hosiery, for seamless fabrics, in the upholstery, and technical applications. The business unit benefits from the integration of Aquafil and the reprocessing unit Aquaspace, both in Italy, with Julon. The yarns are processed (drawning, twisting, texturizing, taslanizing, single and double covering or intermingling) with elastane to fulfil the market needs.
ENGINEERING PLASTICS Aquafil Technopolymers produce engineering thermoplastics (Nylon-6 and others) and is also responsible for marketing Nylon-6 base polymer for compounding manufactured by Aquafil and Julon. Aquafil Technopolymers has an integrated distribution network in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, UK and the US. Thanks to its flexibility and customer orientation Aquafil Technopolymers have developed a broad range of compounds to fulfil the customer needs for applications in the automotive, electrical and industrial field.
ENGINEERING Thanks to the wide experience in production plants of the Group and to the qualified competence of its engineers Aquafil Engineering also compete in the market for production plants of Nylon-6. Aquafil Engineering, based in Berlin, design and supervise the entire technology of the division in supplying know-how, feasibility studies, modernization and optimisation, construction and start up as well as personnel training.
