DSM Engineering Plastics is a global supplier of Nylon-6 compounds for customers in industries like automotive, E&E and powertools.

DSM started commercial production of caprolactam in 1952 and has maintained its position as technology leader ever since. About half of the world's caprolactam plants are based on DSM technology. Our commercially proven HPOplus^® technology is viable for large-scale grassroots production facilities and is also being deployed for debottlenecking of excisting HPO and HSO plants. Altam^® is our breakthrough technology for the production of caprolactam based on butadiene and carbon monoxide.

We operate caprolactam production facilities in The Netherlands (Geleen), the USA (Augusta, Georgia) and China (Nanjing) with a combined capacity of more than 0.5 million metric tonnes per year.

Our plant in China is expanded from 60 to 140 thousand tonnes per year using the HPOplus^® technology.
