For more than 50 years now the name Zimmer® has been synonymous with innovative technologies for the production, processing and recycling of polymers.
Since 2009 Zimmer® technologies are integrated into the portfolio of Lurgi GmbH.
Lurgi is a market and technology-oriented plant engineering and construction company with own processes and technologies for polymers and synthetic fibers. The company forms part of the Air Liquide Group.

With Zimmer® technologies Lurgi covers its own nylon production processes and down-stream processing routes for textile and technical fibers, engineering plastics, and films. Plants built with these technologies produce highest quality and economics. The company offers high-tech process engineering and services worldwide. Investors have been choosing Zimmer® technologies for a long time.

More than 800 plants have been built with Zimmer® technologies worldwide, thereof more than 390 nylon plants. The capacity range of Nylon-6 reaches from 20 up to 300 tons/day in one line of polymerization.

The largest Polyamide-6 plant in China with 200 tons/day is build with Zimmer® technology.

• Implementation of a full recovery system
• Carpet chemical recycling – pure Caprolactam
• Heat stabilizer especially for tire cord
• Advanced spinning performance (ASP) modifier
• Energy efficient revamping

Services cover every stage of a project from preliminary studies to comprehensive design, basic and detail engineering, procurement of necessary equipment, financing, erection and start-up as well as training and technical services. The company revamps existing plants too, bringing them up to date whether they originally worked with Zimmer® technology or not.
